The South Norfolk Advice Project is comprised of seven member organisations:

Citizens Advice Diss, Thetford & District is an independent charity and a member of the national network of Citizens Advice.

We aim to provide the advice people need for the problems they face and campaign to improve the policies and practices that affect people's lives. We provide free, confidential advice and information on a range of issues and can help with many problems including debt, housing, consumer matters, benefits, employment, relationships and many other issues.

Age UK Norfolk is a local, independent charity with over 65 years of experience working with and for older people throughout Norfolk.

Our free Information, Advice and Advocacy Service offers support on a wide range of issues: benefits & entitlements, advocacy, bereavement, money matters, housing and care options and much more!

Age UK Norfolk also offers: dementia support services, telephone befriending, day support clubs and respite care.

Broadland Meridian supports people who want to work but face disadvantage entering the employment market.

We can help anyone in need depending upon their personal situation:

  • If you feel you lack confidence or skills
  • If you have no idea how to get started in finding out about computers or the Internet
  • If you are interested in finding work, voluntary or paid, full time or part time.

Equal Lives is a disability rights organisation led by disabled people that aspires to a world free from disabling barriers. We believe in the social model of disability, whereby it is not the impairment that disables an individual, but rather the barriers imposed by society itself.

NCLS logo      Norfolk Community Law Service (NCLS)

Norfolk Community Law Service (NCLS) is a registered charity providing access to justice and equality in Norfolk. All services are free, independent and confidential.

NCLS's Legal Advice service covering general legal matters, family and employment is available in Norwich (Tuesdays and Fridays 12 noon - 2pm) and Great Yarmouth (alternate Tuesdays from 2pm and Thursdays from 12noon).

NCLS also provides advice on debt (for offenders and ex-offenders), discrimination and domestic abuse. It offers advice and representation for welfare benefit appeals and, through its migrant worker project, advice on residency, status and entitlement for EEA Nationals (interpreters are available by arrangement.)
